This Leisure LASP41MPX American Fridge Freezer offers cubed or crushed ice and chilled water on tap, all you need to do is plumb it into your water supply. You will need to keep buying filters to keep your ice and water tasting fresh (normally every 6 months) and a warning light on the display will tell you when it’s time to change the filter.
It features a Mini Bar on the fridge door, which is a little hatch which you can open and grab your most commonly used items, eg milk, juice, beer. This helps save energy (rather than opening the whole fridge door) and also serves as a shelf where you can pour yourself a drink, the A++ energy rating will also help you to save energy compared to the standard A+ rating.
The ice maker is situated on the freezer door, so this frees up a bit more room rather than having it in the freezer, but it does still take up some storage space, so think carefully if you actually are going to use this feature.
To help keep your food fresh, the Dual Cooling system uses two fans and evaporators to help prevent your food from drying out in the fridge, it also ensures there are no transfer of odours between the fridge and freezer and the Blue Fresh Zone uses blue LED lights in the salad crispers to maintain the vitamin content and nutrients in your fruit and vegetables. There is also a chiller zone in the fridge where you can safely store fresh meat and fish.
From the LED display you can set the temperature of the fridge and freezer as well as setting different options, such as Quick Cool and Quick Freeze, which will cool your food down rapidly, so they better retain their nutrients and taste. There is also a Holiday mode where you can turn off the fridge but keep the freezer running.
