This Indesit LR8S1SAQ.1 fridge freezer is classed as ‘Low Frost’, so you will need to still manually defrost the freezer, although Indesit claim you will need to defrost it less than conventional manual defrost fridge freezers. If you do not want the hassle of defrosting the freezer then you should choose a frost free model.
It comes with a non plumbed water dispenser, which will allow you to dispense water straight from the fridge door. This is fed from a water tank inside the fridge, which you manually fill, the tank takes up space on the inside of the fridge door, so will impact on your ability to store tall bottles here.
In the fridge, the bright LED lighting will help you to easily find your food and there is a large salad crisper to keep your fruit and vegetables fresh. The drawers in the freezer have clear fronts so you should be able to spot your food more easily without having to open them.
The 70/30 split on this fridge freezer is good if you require a bigger fridge than freezer space, it all depends on your cooling needs and priorities. If you require something with more freezer space, then best to opt for a fridge freezer with a 50/50 split.
