Bush BECF198L Review
This Bush BECF198L white chest freezer will need to be manually defrosted from time to time, it is best to do this when you see ice start to form, otherwise the ice will start to take some of your storage capacity and the compressor will have to work harder to cool your food through all that extra ice.
A big question most people ask when buying a chest freezer is – can I keep it in a garage or outbuilding? It seems with this model that the minimum ambient temperature where you can keep it needs to be 10°c. Bear this in mind as if you do place it in a room that falls below 10°c, it may invalidate the warranty.
You can set the temperature from the dial at the front of the chest freezer and there is one basket inside the freezer where you can keep your most commonly used items.
It is quite basic inside with regards to extra features; there is no LED light to enable you to easily find what you are looking for and no warning lights to alert you of a high temperature, however it does have a counterbalanced lid, so you don’t have to worry about it hitting you on the head when you are retrieving food.
